• The PIDD will no longer shutdown/reboot when the engine reverses.* Stop the engine by the kill switch, and the PIDD will stay on, until you turn the key OFF.* Anytime you turn the key ON, regardless of the engine running, the PIDD gauge will boot up and run.* For short breaks on the trail, the PIDD maintains a lock on the satellites, so as soon as you startup, you can go, and have GPS tracking.* Engine can be shut off while reviewing where you’ve been and shifting the map, to see where you want to go.* No need to run the engine while updating programming and trails (5 minutes) and base maps (30 minutes) from a USB flash drive into the PIDD.

  * No need for engine running when naming Waypoints or the current days Tracks, and then permanently saving them to the USB flash drive. Or when restoring Tracks or Waypoints from the USB flash drive to the PIDD.

  * Can review trip odometer info, and check fuel level without starting up engine.
